Wietersdorfer re-enters the lime production sector in 1993, with the acquisition of the Steirische Montan Werke (owner Perlmooser AG), albeit on a modest scale. Wietersdorfer returns fully to the lime business in 2009 with the construction of a new energy-efficient Maerz PFR (parallel flow regenerative) lime kiln.
